    I’ve got this problem, (with all CMSes not just this one, but this one aswell)

    I can never login into the admin account unless I get my browser to remember my password.
    I imagine that this is because of some caching issue that has something to do with the way my php is setup

    rather then pucking around, I thought I’d ask if anyone has encountered this, and knows how to fix it
    or just knows how to fix it
    :)

    thanks

      Sounds like a cookie issue. Are you blocking cookies in your browser?

        That is what it looks like, but it something else smiley

        I checked my browser cookies, and they are there.
        The other thing that I found is that I cannot access any pages other than the default page, all others get rdirected to that page
        whereas if I am loged in as admin, I can use the ?id=3 to go to the third page

              I’ve ran a session test, and a cookie test
              the session test returned fine and there’s no issues there, but it’s the cookies that are doing something odd

              these are the cookie modes I testedfor
              1:    header("Set-Cookie: testcookie1=present;");
              2:    header("Set-Cookie: testcookie2=present; expires=$date");
              3:    header("Set-Cookie: testcookie3=present; expires=$date; path=/");
              4:    setcookie("testcookie4", "present");
              5:    setcookie("testcookie5", "present", (time()+6400));
                Removed -- 6:    setcookie("testcookie6", "present", "(time()+6400)");
              7:    setcookie("testcookie7", "present", (time()+6400), "/", "$HTTP_HOST");
                Removed -- 8:    setcookie("testcookie8", "present", "(time()+6400)", "/", "$HTTP_HOST");
              9:    print "<meta http-equiv=\"Set-Cookie\" content=\"testcookie9=present\">\n";
              10:   print "<meta http-equiv=\"Set-Cookie\" content=\"testcookie10=present; expires=$date\">\n";
              11:   print "<meta http-equiv=\"Set-Cookie\" content=\"testcookie11=present; expires=$date; path=/\">\n";
              12:   print "<script>document.cookie = 'testcookie12' + '=' + 'present';</script>\n";
              13:   header("Set-Cookie: testcookie13=present; path=/; domain=$HTTP_HOST; expires=".gmstrftime("%A, %d-%b-%Y %H:%M:%S GMT",time()+9600));

              and these are the results

              Method 1: Fail
              Method 2: Fail
              Method 3: Fail
              Method 4: OK
              Method 5: OK
              Method 7: OK
              Method 9: OK
              Method 10: OK
              Method 11: OK
              Method 12: OK
              Method 13: OK

              this is not a browser issue
              anyone know what’s happening, or have any insight on this?

                Looks like u have furls turned on and u modified htaccess in the root. But not in the manager which turns off re-writing for /manager/*
