Seemed like such a strong and viable solution to ModX's lack of a native eCommerce manager, but it's a ghost site. You can't buy it, there's no way to contact the authors and even the AugmentBlu twitter feed ends around a year ago. SimpleCart is ok but it lacks many advanced (and some basic) features that are now easily achievable with other eCommerce managers. Setting up an army of TVs for this purpose is hardly a robust solution, and for developers would bloat the turnaround time... Foxycart + ModX is a powerful combo, potentially, but without an intuitive backend shop manager (BluCart seemed so promising), it seems to still be only potential.

I did. I was working with SimpleCart (the precursor for the modmore Commerce project) and got pretty far but had to abandon it as a solution when I discovered some severe limitations (delivery methods, outdated and contrasting documentation, etc). Commerce has been promised for quite some time, and I'm looking forward to it — I'm even signed up on the newsletter, but I can't exactly tell my clients to watch the clock...

Just spoke with one of the developers of BluCart in Edinburgh — seems that the project was dropped because of some fracas with their backers and the current site only exists as a monument to the project.

Commerce is not derived from SimpleCart. ModMore just took on SimpleCart when the original developer wasn't able to maintain it any more. Commerce is something else altogether.

Does anyone know when Moxycart will be ready? Its been in development for a few years and the authors promised a live beta back in 2014, but the present git says it is unsupported and should not be used...
