Hello, I'm trying to find a way of adding two new fields to the New User form in the backend manager. These are Organisation and Job Title. These would be just straightforward text fields. I've tried to look for solutions but all of them seem to be horrendously complicated- all I want to do is add these two fields to this form (and the Edit User form of course) and in fact as I'm not using all the fields, if it's easier then I could rename two existing ones of the right type and length.
I tried looking in Manager Customization but this seems to be very basic and doesn't do what I need- I created a Profile and then tried to create a "Set" inside that but the only options are for Create resource and Update resource- I want to specifically edit the New User and Edit User forms.
Does anyone have an easy way that this can be done? Thanks!

Pick a couple of the unused fields, then go into the appropriate lexicon file (probably user.inc.php) and change the title. Just remember what the actual field name is for when you want to use it for anything.
Otherwise, your options are to use the Extended Fields or extend modUser.
