Is there a way to not render a snippet?

I am creating a wizard to help generate a snippet call but I never get any output since the snippet is rendered rather than output. I thought there was a snippet/plugin that could help with this but I did not find it. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried to use the plugin notParseModxTags?

Are you trying to create the snippet call on the fly and have it execute or just creating the call for later pasting into a document?

When you do a "view source," are the symbols in the snippet call rendered as HTML entities?

Thank you both, both answers were on the spot. notParseModxTags turns the [[]] into Ascii code that does not get rendered but gets output by the browser. So the answer was to use the ascii equivelant to render the output.

I was worried that when pasting it into the RTE that it would keep it in ascii and the code would not work, but not the case, worked like a charm.
