What is the rewrite base line in your .htaccess?

Do you have more than one front-end context?

Maybe it's interesting to know, that when I used Wayfinder, I only got one link, even when they are 10. All settings were correct. So I had to switch to Pdo, to display all the links in the menu.

1. site is not in subderectory on public_html, but directly in public_html
2. the whole htaccess code, incl baseline, is shown in my first post

Wayfinder uses user-permission checking by default, pdoMenu does not. Check your user permissions in your ACL policy, perhaps something got corrupted during the upgrade.

A good way to check is to make yourself a sudo user and flush both permissions and sessions. If that solves it, it's definitely a MODX permissions issue.

Once or twice I've have user permissions corrupted during an upgrade. Checkboxes in the Administrator policy were unchecked after the upgrade.
