    Hello Everyone.

I copy a web to another hosting (in the same server), Revo 2.4.2-pl

Everything works well but inside the manager is showing a 500 error only on children pages.
(Is not the settings on the server because the original page is working perfect).

I can see the content in the main pages (ID-1 for example), but not children. Can't create new pages too (same 500 error).

I'm using the instructions from YJ Tso: http://modx.com/blog/2015/09/21/migrating-your-modx-site/ I think is great, never had problems before, until now.

    any ideas please?

    Thank you very much everyone.

Be sure the compress_js and compress_css System Settings are set to No.

Did you run Setup after migrating the site? If not, try that.

Try deleting all files in the core/cache directory and clearing your browser cache and cookies (if you haven't already).

Hello Bob thank you for your answer

compress CSS JS is set No, delete everything inside cache and run the setup but not luck.

I was reading your documents about the 500 error in the manager but this is different because is only for children and new pages... any other idea?

I think is very weird problem because usually the problem is everywhere not in specific areas.

thank you very much, hope you have more ideas.

Is there anything helpful in the MODX Error log?

You might also double-check the paths and URLs in the the core/config/config.inc.php file.

If you are using CKEditor you need to copy /manager/assets/components/ckeditor to the new location. Not just the two folders YJ Tso.

That has cause me problems before.

Well is solved now, here the details might be useful for someone else.

The problem starts after move/copy the site to other hosting, everything works well but the children pages and new pages refer to a 500 error inside the manager.

After several hours and many attempts I found the problem in one of the templates sad
for any weird reason (don't understand why) the default template ID-1 was corrupt on the transfer, even when it was working right on the main site.

Anyway, the reason that only the children has the problem was because all the children has the template ID-1 as selected template and the new pages didn't work because the default template was the ID-1 too.

So, change the template on the DB solved the problem.

stupid but true and very annoying problem.

hope save time to someone else.

Cheers. [ed. note: Ysanmiguel last edited this post 10 years, 7 months ago.]
