    Hello,

    I am trying to make a flash movie, which will display content relevant to the page where the movie is sitting.

    For example, I would like to have some tag lines animate across the header. I would like to be able to set the tag lines via template variables and have them import into flash.

    I have had some success using the info on this page: http://stuff.nothingmatters.co.uk/2007/01/20/modx-a-cms-for-flash/

    But each page would need its own xml template, which is fine, but then each page would need a different version of the swf to look for the different template.

    I want one swf, on multiple pages that will get the data from the page which is active.

    So I have got my head around pulling data from xml templates, I just want to pull data from generic templates.

    Does anyone have any clues about this?

    Thanks

    Tim

      Thanks for this, I have not used ditto before so just to clarify, I would make a custom Ditto template chunk, which has the flash movie in it. I add the TVs I want to use in the movie in the Ditto template chunk. Then I call the ditto chunk in a template which has the TVs to be edited. Is that the idea?

      If I use SWFObject to embed the movie into the ditto chunk and add the following variable:

      so.addVariable("tags", "[*myTags*]");

      will those parameters be pushed into the flash movie automatically or do I need some actionscript to go and find them?
