Color name not allowed to be single-digit or a double-digit number starting with a zero

We discovered some strange behavior when it comes to naming colors when creating/updating a product.

In this case, the colors are not only colors like 'blue, green, etc.' but are also just numbers and combinations like '287, 001P, etc.'.

Now we discovered that we can't enter a single-digit number or a double-digit number starting with a zero, whereas a combination like '0k' or '0=' would be accepted.

It has to be related to that autocomplete-function, because the entry gets checked and deleted out of the color field before creating/updating the product itself.

Is it possible to turn that autocomplete-function/validation off? Or is there an *js file where we can edit the requirements for the input field? Thanks!
