    Hi

I have a site which is a hundred or so resources.
I find the manager is so slow to navigate around.
Any tips on best browser to use or ripe to optimise the manager?
I've tried ff, Safari and chrome and have turned off the RSS feeds on the dashboard but still so slow. Even when installed on a local machine with mamp.

I'm on Mac OS X (latest) with latest version of Modx Rev.

    • It shouldn't be all that slow with so few resources. Check error logs and access logs. Also consider your plugins, a misbehaving plugin can slow things down. In Firefox, the Inspect Element right-click menu option has a tab for checking network activity, so it might help you find where the slowdown is.

One thing you can do with a large resource tree that slows down is to put things in Collections. Those resources don't show in the Tree, they are managed in a paged grid in the parent Collection's editing page.

Hmm. I just noticed that a lot of my resources in the tree are already collections - but I have a LOT of collections - so if I make their parent a collection it wont actually hide them from the resource tree will it?
