    Hi,

URLs that are generated using the link tag [[~ID]] seems to be adding some escaped characters. These aren't visible within the source and can only see the change when the browser displays the destination of a link on hover or the link it's clicked.

So for example some-link.html would become %u200some-link.html on hover
Then when clicked the browser address displays %E2%80%8Bsome-link.html

From what I can work out is some how the text has been pasted contains a uni code character which then when clicked gets encoded.

My question is could these be stripped using something link the character restriction system setting.

The URL is generated from the alias. The alias can be (and usually is) automatically created from the resource's Title field.

Those variations on the same thing are representations of the Unicode "zero length space". Where these may be coming from, I don't know. But there are a number of solutions for getting rid of them.

        Hey Susan,

Thanks for the reply. The htaccess work around will be good as a short term solution or fixing anything that's been indexed. But be good to fix it at the modx end of things. So some how cleaning up the alias field with some RegEx.
