PHP version error with PHP 5.3.2 - 1ubuntu4.18

I am trying to install modx in a remote server with php version PHP 5.3.2 - 1ubuntu4.18 and the PHP verification failed with this message displayed: You are using PHP 5.3.2 - 1ubuntu4.18 and MODX Revolution requires PHP 5.1.1 or later. Please update PHP to version 5.1.1 minimum. MODX recommends an update to version 5.3.0..
It seems that the server is equiped with PHP 5.3.2 but Modx failed to recognize it.

Hi, which modx version do you use? If modx >= 2.4 you need php >= 5.3.3
