    Hello,

I’m a fairly new user to MODx (only on my second site) and need some advice about roles and permissions relating to publishing and editing. We want two roles within the managers of the site - editors who can edit and save documents, and publishers who can validate the content and then release (publish) them to the site. I’ve set up two roles for this and associated one user with each role.

At the moment I’ve two problems:

1 If a document is already published then the editor can edit it and the changes show up instantly and don’t need to be verified by the publisher.

2 A document that is ’unpublished’ is removed from the menu, but not from the site i.e. it will still display from someone’s bookmarks or links.

Are there any add-ons that address the area of document control?

    Thanks

I think a plugin, which checks at ondocformsave, if the editor has permission to publish the content, can unpublish that resource after saving the modified version, if not.
