Hi all. I recently had a web site created for fantasy sports and while it seems extremely easy to create new resource and publish them - I am having a huge issue with it. I can create everything and edit, etc - and when I'm finished it says 'published' and let's me preview it, but it's not appearing on my blog..... My admin guys (who also have access to the developer site, and the same permissions that I do) can publish what I create and it always works, but never works for me.....
All of the appropriate menu titles and fields are filled out and like I said, when I save or publish it's status is 'PUBLISHED', and when I 'preview' it, it looks great... But I can never get anything to appear on the site... It's driving me nuts, lol!! My developer guys can't seem to figure out what the deal is, so I figured I'd give these forums a shot...
I've tried this via Internet explorer and incognito mode on chrome and same results... Is the issue perhaps that while it seems I have the same permissions that they do, I really DON'T?? Or could there be something else I'm missing or maybe it's just my lap top or something else?
I am totally appreciative of any help with this matter... It's annoying to have to email or text my guys every dang time I need to publish a new blog post...
Thanks!
What version of MODX are you using (Evolution or Revolution)?
Oh, also, all of the required fields are filled out (long title, menu title, etc), and the menu index is correct as well...
You are using MODX Evo 1.0.15
Stupid question maybe - is the website actually live ?
You can edit / create etc. pages and preview them whilst logged in, even if the site is offline - offline meaning => set to be offline via the configuration
To check - login, goto: Tools => Configuration => Site (Tab) - check "Site status" - ensure it is "Online"
Found the site and seen that it is online
Have you tried creating a new admin user and tried logging into the system with the new username and password ?
Security => Manager Users => Click "New User" button, fill out the form as required
Filling out the form:
Add username
Click "Let me specify the password" - add your new password in both boxes
You will have to specify an email address - it's mandatory
Once the form is submitted log out of the system and log back in using the new credentials and simply test away

I am not sure about this but looking at your website you have to create an account to view blog posts
I don't know if your manager user account will be accepted - this is not my strong point so it may be better to ask others
Try creating an account via the form on your site (Log In page) for the blog - if that works that's possibly the problem
Hey all, thanks for the response! I will try what you reccommend... And yes, it's a site where in order to read the restricted content, you have to subscribe and pay a one time fee of $5.99... I was lucky enough to win a million bucks on DraftKings last season and have also won quite a bit in addition to that (pics posted in 'winnings' section), so I figured I'd have some fun and maybe make a buck or two with some analysis, predictions, etc...
My admins tried logging in with MY account and are able to publish posts when they do. So I think it's definitely an issue with either my virus protection (Mcafee) or my firewall??
I'll keep ya's posted and sorry for the delay in responding, but was out of town for several days without decent internet access.... Thanks again though!!

I could've definitely done that - but figured the web site would mostly be for fun, and I wanted to throw some business a friend's way. The web site is great and works fine for them and for the users - it's just the only problem I'm having is publishing the blog posts myself...

What, exactly, are you doing? You are in the Manager? When you say its "status is PUBLISHED", what do you mean? Where do you see this? Are you using Articles?
