MODX 2.4.2 and MIGX 2.9.6 = Empty modal window!

Hello MODX Community,

maybe someone can help me out with this little MIGX/PHP problem ...

My environment is:
MODX Version: 2.4.2 > Fresh Installation
MIGX Version: 2.9.6
PHP Version 5.6.10
Umgebung: MAMP PRO / MAC

The problem is:
When I try one of the MIGX tutorials - for example this one > "MIGX.Simple opening hours table", then i get an empty modal window, after i clicked the "Add new item" button. When I turn on debug in system settings, then i get the following error:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /xxx/xxx/www/core/components/migx/model/migx/migx.class.php on line 1532

The same error occurs with a fresh MODX 2.4.2 install and MIGX 2.9.6 (also 2.9.7) on the MODX Cloud.

How can i fix this?

what is your MIGX-configuration.
Seems there is something wrong with the formtabs-json and it couldn't get converted into an array.

here's my MIGX configuration, it seems ok. It's copy/paste from Susan's tutorial (http://tinyurl.com/q2eq8pw):

Form tabs

Additional information/symptoms: When I click the "Done" Button in the blank modal I get a new dataset, but it's empty. Please see screenshot.

Did you see the screenshots with the PHP errors in my first post? Are these relevant?
