i have done web sites for a while now and not until now have i needed to learn how to do this and i’m clueless :S

sometimes when i go to a site (domain.com) the address redirects to (domain.com/pages.php?action=post;board=10.0) or something similar.

i’m curious how to do tihs so i don’t have to change URLs when i’m using modx. I’ve been promoting pages like (domain.com/url) and i want that url directory to forward to the new page so i can continue to advertise that and use modx. i hope this makes sense.

    thanks

You can use a weblink and point it to the desired document/page. There are also a fe plug-ins that allow you to have alternate aliases for the same document.
