HI,
I was advised that one could import images into the image galleries using images already uploaded into the file system, but when I try to add images to a Gallery, it only gives me the option to upload - not choose from the filesystem - am I missing something?

Most galleries in any CMS work like that.
They need the upload feature so that the images can be catalogued, and the respective metadata stored in a database. And supposedly for users who love point and click.
In my delicate opinion, the concept is a broken and nonsense one; especially if I want complete control of the images on the server, and not have to 're-upload' anything.
But I guess users like it this way, hence the trend.

Thanks. Susan (sotwell) mentioned in a previous post that it was possible to load images into Gallery using images already in the file system though?
It sounds like it should be possible!
I'm already using some of the images around the site do sounds crazy to have to double up on uploads?
Any one with any ideas?
