I’ve recently completed a new website using MODx and I’ve opened it up to other members of our organisation to add news items and pages.

It’s all working brilliantly, except for one thing: new pages, when created, are unpublished by default. This is a little counterintuitive, especially with the "published" tickbox being hidden away on another tab, and usually results in me logging on each night to publish all the little grey items in the content manager! How do I make the "published" tickbox be ticked by default to remedy this?

    Many thanks in advance.

In the site configuration you can set the defaults for the publish state as well as a few others. In the manager go to Tools > Configuration scroll down a bit and you will see "Published default" checkbox.
