Redirect from backend to frontend

Hi, I want to add menu button in manager to redirect moderators to the specific page in frontend.

But makeUrl does not seem to work.

$url = 'http://samplepage.com';
header( "Location: $url" );

works

but

$url = $modx->makeUrl(1);
header( "Location: $url" );

does not!

I've tried also smth. like $url = $modx->makeUrl(1,'web','','full')
