Help: I accidentally move something in the modx directory (I don't know what) now I can't get to my resources. I can go to the resources but the right panels are missing. Any help would be appreciateed
Without knowing what you moved, it's difficult to help you. Moving MODX files is a recipe for disaster unless you know exactly what you're doing.
One solution might be to re-upload the setup directory (from exactly the same version you are using) and run Setup in upgrade mode.
As an alternative, you could try installing the UpgradeMODX extra and using it to upgrade to MODX 2.3.0. If that fixes things, upgrade to 2.3.6, then to 2.4.2.
You should definitely upgrade MODX as there are some serious security issues in earlier versions.

No it won't, as long as the Upgrade checkbox is checked when you run Setup, though using UpgradeMODX would probably be easier.

To use UpgradeMODX, you don't need to upload any files. The extra will automatically download *all* MODX files for you.
To use the other method, it might work to upload just the setup directory -- it would depend on what you moved.

Try using the technique
described here to copy the new files. Then, manually delete all files in the core/cache directory.
Once the files are in place, the site may work. If not, run Setup again in upgrade mode.
