Answered Form Customization/Custom Theme

I'm trying to make the manager more simple for my users.

So I'd like to have a tab named Desktop where they write their articles.with just the pagetitle and content box. Then put all the other stuff on tabs and have this tab first. Then rename the other tabs.

I see on Form Customization I can hide fields and rename tabs. But can I reorder fields or move them to other tabs? Can I reorder tabs? It looks like I can only toggle visibility and assign tvs as I wish, not move the default fields.

is this correct?

if so, are there any examples of custom themes that anyone has done that I could look at? TIA.

I'm not real sure what would happen if you hid them, then created a TV with the same name and put it in a different tab.

yeah, I think that might be more of a hack than I want to do. I might investigate the custom themes.

it's just all that info hitting them right away is too much. Way scary.

I long for the day we can reorder those tabs, and also put fields in whatever tab we want. Right now, we can be TV fields in the Document tab, for instance, but can't put the native fields like pagetitle in a different tab, or one that we create. The current customization options are good, but only go halfway toward fulfilling "creative freedom" in terms of the manager layout.

That's one of the things I miss the most about Evo. ManagerManager was a remarkable tool.
