Critical error in the begining of installation

Hello, world ))
I got a critical error saying that Modx installation cannot be continued (critical error).
That appeared at the moment when I went to <my domain>/setup as written in the manual. This manual: https://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/getting-started/installation/basic-installation#BasicInstallation-ExistingStaticHTMLSite
All the other things that supposed to be done before the installation process were done very carefully and exactly the way it was advised.
So, what is this problem about?

Additional information:
I first copied the zip-file to the specially created folder, then unarchived it, then copied the files to the root of the site. I tested the writeability of cache and config folders with the script by BobRay (https://forums.modx.com/thread/98902/how-to-check-whether-the-folder-is-writeable-by-php#dis-post-534794) and they were writeable, but when I moved the files to the root directory, the same script told me they are NOT.
How can it be and how to fix it? I suppose that is the problem.

Hi, the problem solved. It was because I used "root" user to move files to root folder. I deleted the files from root folder and moved it there again connected as my second user (the one who did the unzip and who's the owner of the installation folder). It appeared to be important. So I advise to add this note to the manual so that people know it.
