    Hi,

Can anyone provide suggestions as to why all new resources I create return a 404.html page.

The template has full html in it (no chunks) and 10 text field template variables. I have legacy pages from my old site in the same sub and they all work, but are just copied html.

Below are the settings: If I don't reference it that means the field is blank or unchecked.

    Document:
    -Title
    -Resource Alias (autopopulates correctly)
    -published is checked
    -uses template (correct one)
    -Content field is blank

    Settings:
-Parent Resource (correct subfolder) mysite.com/subfolder/resource (friendly urls on)
-Document, html, inline, menu index (43) published on (auto), searchable, cacheable, empty cache

Is this your MODX not-found page, or the default web server 404 page?

Have you done anything with permissions on the site?

Have you got friendly URL's turned on in the system settings, if so make sure the ht.access file has been re named to .htaccess

The 404 is on the server but doesn't display properly in the subfolder. 404 works properly when returning homepage/badpage though.

Friendly URLs are on and htaccess was previously renamed in the core folder from ht. To .ht

I did move the page to the root and it still did not display properly.

It's the one in the root ( where index.php is ) that need to be called .htaccess as well as the one in the core

It is too, but it is a custom one from my old site. I will use the modx one when I am back in front of my laptop.

Thank you for all the help. I reinstalled the default .ht that comes with modx and it allowed the urls. Happy Thanksgiving!
