    Hi,
    i'd like to share the bug which kept me busy a few hours.

    While checking the source code of a page, i found just before my </ body > a link to "viagra-spam-website" (no visible because of a absolute position far far away out of the screen)

    <div style="position:absolute;left:-2385px;top:-2826px;"><a href="#">www.viagra-spam-website.com</a></div>
    </body>
    </html>

    On each page of the website, more links, different ones...
    I checked my templates, my chunks, my snippets, made search in the whole database with "%viagra%" and stuff.... No results
    I brought back files in local in order to search in too... No results.

    Eventually, i stumbled on a plug in named "Core Services" that i found really suspicious... (a lot of encode, hash, decode, eval...)
    Take a look at the attached file, you'll figure it out.

    So just delete it, flush the cache, have your modx updated and ask your doctor a prescription if you need viagra... don't buy online smiley

    Hope this will help some of you... [ed. note: iusemodx last edited this post 10 years, 10 months ago.]

        I would remove the url from this post, title and forum or change it to www.viagra-spam-website.com

        A time ago spammers would sign up in forums and pretend to have issues with their websites just to be able to post their garbage links and improve SEO.

        Somebody allegedly took a dump on your website and now you are sharing the brown stuff. I can't modify the title of this post and share it as well.

          @Lyloueen

          I have modified your post and changed the spam link

          As "mrhaw" pointed out - please don't post the spammers link in the forum - a simple change of the name is always good

            I probably forgot to attach the file... I'll do this on Monday from work.

            @mrhaw and @iusemodx
            Thanks. You did well
