MyComponent will create a transport package for you. You just put copies of the packages' transport.zip files in the right place and MyComponent will add them to the package it builds. They'll be installed automatically.
MC is a little challenging at first, but once you have it set up, you can easily modify the package you're creating to install whatever you want, create or modify settings, or whatever. Your current API code would likely go in a resolver.
Once your package is created, a new site is just a matter of putting the transport.zip file in core/packages, doing "Search Locally for Packages" in Package Manager, and installing it.
Thanks, Bob.
It's taken me a couple of weeks to look into this, but it looks like your 'MyComponent' will be ideal for this and in fact I think it's going to solve another problem I was having too, so that's even better.
Appreciate your help.
Wow! Thanks for sharing, sebastian-marinescu!
