After uninstalling and removing the caching packages, I manually cleared cache from inside manager. I then loged out of manager. I cleared cache and deleted cookies from inside chrome. I then opened up firefox to see if it is chrome issue.
Now, in both firefox and Chrome, the manager goes into an endless save loop where I see the Saving progress bar that doesn't go away.
Incredibly frustrating.
Having had issues in past where revo on modxcloud doesn't delete the cache files, I decided to try manually deleting the cache to see if it would help. No joy.

An endless save loop is typically one of two things:
1) a php error in the update processor
2) a javascript error before the actual save happens
To figure out which one of these two is the problem, open up your developer tools and the Net/Network tab before. With it open, save the resource and see if there is a request to connectors/index.php. If there is, click it to see details, and then check what's on the Response tab and please post what is being displayed there.
If there is no ajax request to connectors/index.php, have a look at the Console tab. There will typically be a javascript error on that tab in the second scenario. Please post the error.
Also, check to make sure that one of the packages you removed didn't leave a plugin behind.

Hi Mark,
There is a request to connectors/index.php and there is nothing in response tab.
It is showing a HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error. I look inside transmit and the file is there though.
I fixed it thoughby looking in the system settings and it said that RTE was enabled and that TINY MCE was enabled. When I switched RTE's it worked now! Crisis averted.
