I want to develop my MODx site locally. I know I can use EasyPHP. But also, I would like to have all it working in my portable USB device.

So, I have the following questions for you:

    (1) Can EasyPHP be installed and run on such a device?

    (2) Anyway, which would be the best tool/configuration for a portable local installation of MODx? Do you know anything about Server2Go, for example?

By the way, I entered in EasyPHP page, and the only available version for downloading at the moment is 2.0b1 (december, 2006). Is that a reliable and up-to-date version?

Thank you in advance for your kind help.

You can run XAMPP (from apachefriends) from a usb using the Portable Apps version from here:http://portableapps.com/apps/development/xampp

It is easy to use and reliable.

      Hope this helps.
