thank you, grahoom. $tv_string is a template variable that is set in the snippet call. for example:
[!ListOLinks? &tv_string=`showTracks.Wedding` !]
the idea is that it would be a list of links in the following format, and the snippet would convert it to a <ul>
Name of File 1 | file1.ext
Name of File 2 | file2.ext
...etc.
