Disclaimer: I am currently a content editor on a MODX site, and don't have much / any technical knowledge!

We have a basic HTML page on our servers, that we want to 'look' like part of our website - in the sense that it won't be related to the MODX site at all but, by its URL, will look like it does (e.g. www.myurl.com/newpage).

The person in charge of this has said they need access to the site's FTP folder to make this work properly. My question is: does anyone know how this folder is accessed?

    Thanks for any advice.

I don't see why you would need to use FTP or access the FTP section of the server, but maybe I'm missing something.

If it's truly a plain HTML page with no PHP code, you should be able to just paste the HTML into a new Template. Then create a new Resource that uses that template and leave the content section blank.

That way, site visitors will see the page as it is and the page should show up in your menus with no tricks.

Thanks for the response. Accessing the FTP folder was the solution suggested by our technical team, which is why I asked about it specifically. I am afraid I am not familiar with creating templates, and the page does not have to show up in the menus!

Edit: I experimented with your suggestion and it worked perfectly! Thanks so much.
