    Hello everyone.

I'm trying to update the usual way with Coda on mac, but I'm having no luck when I try to switch from version modx 2.2 to 2.4.

Is there something I am missing ?

    Thanks

What's happening during or after upgrading? Are you getting any errors or white screens?

Well I am able to start the setup, and I think on the third page I get a blank one ( the installation page I guess ).

            It works for me. smiley

On the rare occasions when it doesn't work, it doesn't seem to do any harm since it quits before downloading the new files.

If you already have the files in place, though, I'd recommend disabling your plugins and re-running setup. The blank screen suggests a plugin that's interfering with Setup.

Well I am using these plugins: Google Analytics Dashboard Widget, archivist, Articles, Batcher, Captcha, Discuss, fbLogin, FormIt, getFeed, getPage, getResources, GoogleSiteMap, Login, Purge Cloud Flare, QuickCrumbs, Quip, Rampart, siblingNav, SimpleSearch, sitemapFriend, CSS Star Rating, taglister, TinyMCE

Any idea which one is causing issues ?

I am gonna give a try to "upgrademodx" and see how it goes.

              Thanks anyways

To elaborate on BobRay's suggestion, look under Elements > Plugins and right click any plugin you see in, choose Quick update plugin, check Disabled and click save. This should disable your plugins. Then empty your core/cache folder and rerun the install.

Make sure the Captcha plugin is the current version.

If I had to pick a suspect, it would be Purge CloudFlare.

Ok just to keep you updated.

The best thing to do is to first upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3 and then to 2.4.

If you try to update straight from 2.2 to 2.4 you website will break.

That is not my experience, I updated a site running 2.2.15 to 2.4.2 a few days ago and can't see any issue.
