Bruno, thanks for the question... the placeholders are showing, it's the various array items form the snippet that aren't. All is well now.

Version 1.3 contains the on the fly generation by assigning and checking a 'live_pdf' template variable. A donate button is available in the documentation smiley

Jako, you are a life saver. All is working now; a bit of a problem with placeholders and array items, but that has been resolved. Donate button noted and actioned!

Thank you for all your help and an excellent extra.

But for some reason it is dropping some of the placeholders.

Even if it is solved for you now. Could you tell which issue you have faced and what was your solution?

The solution should go in the documentation or the issue has to be fixed.

The missing fields (red ? in the attachment) were for want of a better term placeholders derived from XPDO array items. The two with a green check mark were true placeholders containing calculated values assigned using '$modx->setPlaceholders()'

Looking at the documentation again this morning, I'm wondering if we should have a provision for SetProtection() http://mpdf1.com/manual/index.php?tid=129&searchstring=permission. In my case the parameters copy and modify, will be important.

In its absence am I right in assuming that it could be added into pdfresource/model/pdfresource/pdfresource.class.php around line 227?

Password and permission settings have to be inserted at the line you have mentioned. PDFresource 1.4 will have that in as global MODX system setting or as resource based setting (pdf_options template variable).
