Can the Breadcrumbs Take the Page Name From The Menu?

I have a menu (with dropdowns) but the breadcrumb is displaying the ’page title’ - can it be configured it to display the ’text’ from the menu?

Examples:

Current breadcrumb : Home > Category > My Page Title (but the menu link is a CSS ul/li with the name ’Item 1’)

Desired breadcrumb: Home > Category > Item 1

I tried this: (using the description field is not idea but I hoped it would be an alternative): [[Breadcrumbs? (isset($descField)) ? $descField : $descField = ’description’; &showHomeCrumb=`1` &respectHidemenu=`0` ]]
from the breadcrumb configuration details but it didnt work I and am new to modx after converting from Joomla...

Any Ideas please (or the code if you could )

You can use the &linkTextField=`fieldname` parameter in the snippet call, and specify pagetitle, menutitle, or whatever is being used by Wayfinder.

I am using : [[Breadcrumbs? &showHomeCrumb=`1` &respectHidemenu=`0` &linkTextField=`menutitle`]] as per your input (thanks) but it still pulls the page ’title’ although wayfinder is using the ’menutitle’ for the link text.

I also just tried [[Breadcrumbs? &showHomeCrumb=`1` &respectHidemenu=`0` &linkTextField=`description`]] and there is no change.

Obviously I am doing something wrong... any ideas?

That’s odd, because even by default (if you don’t specify it) it should use menutitle as first choice.

Part of me is glad it’s not ’me’... but of course the problem still remains :’(
I havent altered any code anywere - wayfinder/menus are working fine... just the breadcrumb won’t change. Even cleared my browser cashe etc in case (unlikely) that FireFox was pulling an old page/css etc.

No change. Weird.

For anyone who has still this problem (I had it today in Breadcrumbs 1.1)
