Issue with using AJAX and MODX?

Hi all,

Just seeing if anyone knows a way around this.

We have a site that loads multiple content within a single page - it's a training guide with several pages. Rather than loading a new page for each section, the user just clicks 'Next' which triggers an AJAX and PHP script to load new content within the existing page (reads data directly from the DB).

The problem is this ceases to work after a while until I clear MODX's cache.

Anyone know what I should be doing here to stop this from happening?

Do you have the compress_js System Setting turned off? If not, try that.

What version of MODX are you running?

Uncheck "Cacheable" on page settings tab!?

This would be my guess too. Also it might be worth checking exactly how your script functions. I do this quite a bit, so it's not really a MODX limitation. Either something is getting cached, or some variable in your javascript is triggering the same thing to be pulled multiple times. Check the requests in your console to verify it is indeed sending different requests.
