I have been developing on modx (and loving it) from 3 months. I recently tried to see performance of modx over php7 using Bitnami LAMP stack of PHP7 version.
Default configured port is 8080 and database port 3306. All charset properly configured in modx setup. Yeah,one more thing, modx setup screen of database connection is quite unreliable over php7 (don't know why).After successful install, I am getting usual 500 error page for manager and 404 for main site. On php 5.5,5.6 it works near flawlessly.
So, is it really fault of php7 for such behavior?

It's known that there are issues with MODX on PHP7, the matter is being discussed. I don't know what the current situation is.
The error details should have more information for problems related to such issues rather than throwing old 500 error messages. Only if i knew where the code is generating problem i can help debugging
