    Hi Everyone.

I am new here and am trying to learn MODx quickly so as to support my employer's website.

One of the tasks we are trying to implement is adding Google Site Search to our website. We are trying to add the search so the results page is embedded into a page on the site. So far this has proven elusive.

I would love it if someone here has done this or knows how we might accomplish it.

    Cheers!
    Russ

      Hi Rus,

Just create a blank resource, then paste your "google site search" code into it (avaliable here: https://cse.google.com/cse/).

      Note:

      • Disable "richtext" (recommended if you are using plugin editor like tinycme or fckeditor.)
      • Disable "cacheable"

      * richtext and cacheable options can be found when you edit resource > setting tab

To prevent problems with code and the richt text editor, I place things like piwik tracking code, youtube ifrages and such things into chunks. In the ducument, I only call the chunk like [[$SiteSearch]] where ever I need it.
