I need help on a Tiny MCE issue. Version 2.1.2.

    The issue:
    * If I click on the icon to insert image everything comes up correctly, but the path in drop down is images and the direct path is just "/" I can browse to an image but it will not upload. No errors are generated. Just nothing happens.

    Considerations:
    * The live website displays everything correctly
    * The TinyMCE viewer (editor) shows images
    * I recently moved the site from one server to another. It worked fine on old server. Currently, on the new server everything else seems to work fine, but the TinyMCE.
    * Another note the File Manager works fine.
    * I know it’s a path issue, but can’t seem to find the right place to put in the path, or the correct path to put in. Here are the areas Ive changed:
-- Tools > Configuration > Interface & Features (Tried a new path in "Resource Path". Currently, just "/assets/" and Resource URL is the same. If I change these it seems to break the links to my images with in TinyMCE - not the web though)
-- Tools > Configuration > Friendly URLs (Use friendly aliases:Use friendly alias path:Allow duplicate aliases: are all set to YES)

I’m just not sure what else to try or where the path is being pulled from.

    Hosting Specs:

    Apache server (shared hosting)
    PHP 4.4.9
    MODx 0.9.6.1
No data tables over 1mb (largest 197.42 KB and only 2 over 100 kb)

Does anyone have a solution or direction to point me in?

    Thank you.

Does anyone have an idea on what could be going on here with the TinyMCE issue? Would I be better off removing it and installing another version? The only solutions I found on the MODx wiki did not solve the problem.

      Thanks.

After reading your post a few times, it definitely sounds like a path issue. One thing I didn’t notice in your posting is whether or not you updated your File Manager Path in MODx. To do so, go to:

Tools >> Configuration >> File Manager

Change the path for "File Manager" to correspond to the path on your server. For example, if on your old server you had /home/admin/public_html/gpc and on your new server the path is /home/my619/public_html/new_site, then you’ll need to change accordingly.

That would be my initial guess...it would seem that you haven’t updated your file path correctly.

The resource browser uses the path specified in the configuration’s Interface and Features tab. You should also check your user’s User tab to make sure it’s set to use the system default.
