I've been contacted by a business owner who already is using MODx for content, but the developer has locked down the manager, so the business owner cannot really use it for content. I'm unfamiliar with MODx and would like to install it on my domain, which is hosted on GoDaddy. They have MODx, but not as a quick install. I have no idea how to install the MODx application on my domain manually. Where do I go for help?
I'm an experienced industrial programmer but not really a professional web developer.
GoDaddy!!? Mamma mia, not GoDaddy!
TinymceWrapper: Complete back/frontend content solution.
Harden your MODX site by
passwording your three main folders:
core, manager, connectors and renaming your
assets (thank me later!)
5 ways to sniff / hack your own sites; even with renamed/hidden folders, burst them all up, to see how secure you are not.

No. Anything but godaddy. You can get a three-week trial of the MODX Cloud. If the ad to the right isn't for the free trial of the MODX Cloud, refresh the page a couple of times until it is.
Or you can install it all in one go on your own computer, even on a USB stick if you want to.

I have downloaded evolution-1.0.15 and installed on GoDaddy.
