Hi. I've just upgraded modx 2.4.2, instalation goes well. But now in admin dashboard I see there is modx 2.3.3 installed. Any sugestions what's going on?

In Manage > Reports > system info I've also got MODX Revolution 2.3.3-pl (traditional).

You might try installing UpgradeMODX and just upgrading to 2.4.2 again.

Did you overwrite all old files via FTP or the setup folder only?

That's why BobRay suggested installing his UpgradeMODX and running it from the Manager Dashboard. It will download MODX, unzip and put the files in place for you, then send you to the usual setup installer.

I overwrite all different files first. Maybe here is the problem with total commander ftp folder sync.
Oh I didn't get that upgradeMODX is an addon for modx. Will try it.

I've installed upgradeMODX extra. It detects new version, but first time I went to dashboard the timeout error occured. After that it works fine, but... when I push Upgrade MODX button, page is refreshing and it shows message:

Could not get version list@ /home/*********/core/cache/upgrademodx/versionlist

I have no such folder in cache.

Edit: After little investigation I've found that this list is creating at the check for new version time. After seting the interval to one minute and refreshing dashboard (without timeout error) the version list appeared.

After instalation the MODX version is 2.4.2 smiley.

Thank You very much guys. UpgradeMODX extra, is an extra addon! [ed. note: pelzak last edited this post 11 years ago.]

I've noticed that the official MODX repository has been a bit sluggish lately myself.

IIRC, the checks that lead up the creation of the version list don't check for cURL timeouts (I could be wrong). Just reloading the page with the dashboard should solve it, though. The repo seems to respond faster if you've just been there.
