    Hello

I have some forms that send an AutoResponder to the users email that they enter in the form. This works fine for most addresses but is not sending to some of the larger email accounts. Gmail seems to arrive but in as spam but Yahoo & Hotmail addresses don't arrive at all.

I have a custom (working) email as the fromAddress ([email protected]), the form is saving to the FormIt DB and is being sent to the site admin fine.

Any ideas on what to look for to solve this? Is it a server configuration issue?
The client's emails aren't being run through the same server that the site is hosted on, just seems strange that some emails get through and others don't.

    Thanks in advance

It all depends on the receiver's email servers' spam filters. Years ago I had a lot of trouble sending email to my aunt, who worked for a municipality and used the municipality's ISP's email servers. My hosting provider (bluehost at that time) was constantly getting on blacklists because some sites hosted with them were considered spammers, so the whole IP range of Bluehost was getting blocked. Eventually the situation got so bad, and began to effect others I was sending email to including clients, in spite of Bluehost very quickly responding to remove whatever other site was actually doing the spamming and getting their IP block off the blacklists every time it got put on them, I had to change to a different hosting company.

You should also check to make sure that your email is being sent with all possible headers; some servers' spam filters will reject email that is lacking some arbitrary technically unnecessary header.

I'm not sure if these are all of them, which are needed and even how to add them to an email created by FormIt. Any thoughts?

I'm not a mail guru either. I just mention some things I've read here and there. You also could try enabling SMTP mail in your System Settings, using your domain's mail server, instead of using the PHP mail() function. I seem to remember something about some spam-blockers blocking that.
