So after installing Modx I get the error "Unexpected Token; You Don't Have Permission to access connectors/index.php on this server" when trying to create a Chunk..

I've read all the posts and I've changed the compression settings so that the filesystem section even appears on Manager. I've tried modifying the .htaccess file in several different ways as proposed in the various posts on here and on the internet. I've looked at the permisssion settings on the connectors folder and as well as the index.php file itself... 755 and 655 respectively.

I've physically deleted the cache many times, etc.. I think I tried everything suggested... and I've reinstalled Modx several times... all with the same result.. I'm stuck.

I'm using php 5.4 native and modx 2.4.2-pl hosted on namecheap... This is sort of my last hope before abandoning Modx altogether.. it looks like the exact tool I need.. so I'm trying to resolve it...

    Any help would be appreciated...

That sounds very frustrating. The only thing that comes to mind is the *ownership* of the connectors directory or the index.php file.

The most common permissions, BTW, would be 755/644 is suPHP, suExec, or something similar is running. You might try that first. Your host might be able to help you also.
