They say they have PHP 5.3.26. MODX requires at least 5.3.3

You can try installing version 2.3.6 if you like. The easiest way is to use the install.php script from here https://github.com/sottwell/installer

Personally, I wouldn't advise trying to run MODX Revolution on such cheap hosting at all. It seldom works out well.

As it says in the documentation there,
Place the install.php file in the same directory as your site root. Load it in your browser and select the version you want to install. (i.e. mydomain.com/install.php)
And yes, you need to delete the 2.4.0 files and empty the database.

                I got the new error

Currently, you are using the PHP suhosin extension, and your suhosin.get.max_value_length is set too low for MODX to properly compress JS files in the manager. MODX recommends upping that value to 4096; until then, MODX will automatically set your JS compression (compress_js setting) to 0 to prevent errors.

Go into System Settings and set compress_js and compress_css to No.

I set cmpress_js from 1 to 0 but it didn't work so what I did I opened php.ini and set suhosin.post.max_vars from 1000 to 4096(suhosin.post.max_vars =4096) When refreshed the page the error disappeared. So, I'm not sure if I did it in right.
                    Thanks

                      That works too.

If you set it from 1 to 0 in the database, it was still in the site cache (/core/cache/system_settings/). Clearing the cache from the Manager's menu doesn't clear that part of the cache.

When it's changed in the System Settings, the system_settings cache is automatically cleared.
