Answered Where to store extended user Settings?

    I need to store some extra user settings. For example weight, height and gender.

    For weight and height i'll store just strings (e.g. 180 and 70) and for gender i'll store an id key for some extra tabel "genders" (id: 1, sex: male ; id:2, sex: female)

    What would be better - to store this settings as JSON in "extended" field of user_attributes table, ot to store them in user_settings table?

      if you want them to be sortable and joinable(the gender field to the gender-table)
      then into a custom-table, maybe with ClassExtender by Bob Ray

      Otherwise into the "extended" field
