Answered Thumbnails with different media source in tiny mce or resource browser?

ok, so I'm on modx revo 2.4 and have two contexts. ContextB is second. It has its own media source at /contextb/assets

what I did:

I set the new media source for the context, have it working fine. set core: link_tag_scheme -> set the value to full
tinymce: tiny.path_options -> set the value to fullpathurl

in the main settings.

I can browse using tinymce and insert image, it works. however in my resource browser the thumbnail images are broken. Unacceptable my users will lose their minds. When I firebug, the image path is for example

src="/connectors/system/phpthumb.php?src=images%2Fadd.png&w=95&h=80&f=png&q=90&far=1&HTTP_MODAUTH=modx55f0ae20c02761.62150441_1456026149968aa7.27683092&wctx=mgr&source=9"

so. hello phpthumb. I must need to change a setting for you?
