Answered Creating a tagging system for search purposes

Hi there,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to tag content for search purposes. What I want to be able to do is have a template variable which I can enter one or more tags in, and then output a dropdown list on the front end which lists all of the different tags that have been entered.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Hey guys, I know this has been answered, but how are you going about using Tagger for search purposes?

I'm using SimpleSearch and it's not able to search through the tags that are associated with each resource. I looked through the Tagger tables and it seems that they're not actually TVs but something separate entirely.

Is it possible to include the Tagger tags in the search when searching through resources? I was about to use the &customPackages option of SimpleSearch but it only accepts 1 join and you need 2 joins to get from the TaggerTag to modResource.

Thoughts?

I have the same question. Tagger is great for managing tags, but SimpleSearch doesn't seem to search through to Tagger. Any help or insight would be appreciated.
