How to fix www.domain.com/path.html URL from going to www.domain.com/path/?q=path.html

I'm having an issue with a site on MODX that redirects one of its URLs that ends with .html and then appends ?q= to the end of the URL path. Which then goes to a 404 error page. Not sure why this is happening and using a 301 redirect in the .htaccess file doesn't change where the page goes to either.

So the page should be and somehow Modx is directing the page to . Is that what you're saying?

We're just trying to get this URL to redirect to: http://www.cervicalherniateddisc.com/patient-stories/ instead.

Can you post your .htaccess?
