So I’m using a filter in my ditto call:
[[Ditto? &startID=`49` &tpl=`category_tpl` &summarize=`9` &sortDir=`DESC` &depth=`1` &sortBy=`pub_date` &filter=`category1,[*id*],1` &paginate=`1` &paginateAlwaysShowLinks=`1`]]
What I’m doing is creating sections of the website where there are "Category" pages. There are maybe like 20 category pages in the site. Then in the manager area I’m creating a "Products" section (with the unique ID of 49) where the client can add their products as children of the parent ID 49. So the way the "Category" page (the Category pages are under a different ID, not a child of 49) is set up is that it has the ditto call above. As you see in the filter clause:
&filter=`category1,[*id*],1`
The "[*id*]" is there to pull the id of that category landing page. Now, on the "Products" template, I’ve got like 20 T.V.’s where the client can enter the unique ID of the category page where they want their product to be added when that category landing page is loaded by the site visitor.
So here’s my problem I’m having. With a single clause, like the following, everything works fine:
&filter=`category1,[*id*],1`
But what I’m trying to accomplish is having multiple clauses so I set it up like so:
&filter=`category1,[*id*],1|category2,[*id*],1`
So my thinking is that when the manager enters id’s in the multiple T.V.’s I’ve got set up for that particular product page, the product can appear in more than 1 category landing page (I’m setting up to 20 T.V.’s so they can add the product to 20 different category pages).
Where am I messing up? Once I enter the multiple clauses, each category page produces a "No documents found." message telling me I’ve done something wrong. I guess apparently I’m not understanding the logic behind it.
My assumption of the above multiple clause filter is the following (in this example below I’m using a Category page with the unique ID of 66):
The filter "category1,66,1|category2,66,1" means exclude a document if its value for the T.V. (category1 or category2) is not equal to the page ID of the Category page (in this example, 66). So in this example, if "category1" or "category2" is not equal to 66, then they are excluded. Correct?
