My wholesaler provides an RSS feed of their products. I want to display certain parts of the feed for the corresponding products on my site so I don’t have to make updates to things such as price or quantity in stock.

Is there a snippet that can read an RSS feed and output only certain elements and values that I want to show on my site? For example, one of their feeds has 100 products, but I sell only 12 of them so displaying the entire feed contents would make no sense.

Do you know which parameters are mandatory when calling this snippet? I’ve exhausted myself with this. Nothing works. Even the most simple call displays only the debugger links.

        [!FeedX? &url=`http://www.example.com/feeds/` &preset=`rss` &debug=`1`!]

I can’t find a wiki for this anywhere and the thread on this topic is full of posts that don’t make much sense to me.
It can’t be this difficult. sad

This is a example of how I use FeedX:

          [!FeedX? &url=`http://ikblogop.tweakblogs.net/feed/` &preset=`rss-uitgebreid` &cacheType=`0` &maxElements=`ITEM(5)`!]

I don’t know which parameters are required, I did use this example about a year ago wink
            with regards,

My product feed is an XML file. Does that have any effect on how the snippet is called?

              Just google "MODx NewsParserX"

With a very small amount of hacking you could tailor it...
