    Hello...

I have a client with a really old MODx Evo install. She was hacked. Apparently the Chinese are harassing her with their own sales catalog on her domain? Wierd. I am trying to figure out the best upgrade path.

    Current Version: 1.0.4

I want to move her from the Evolution package to the Revolution release, but the Chinese have already gotten in and I just need to close that door.

From the posts, I gather that I should upgrade to 1.0.5 first, then to 1.0.14, and then to 1.0.15? Is that correct? Or maybe to play it safe I have to go one upgrade step at a time (v 1.0.4 to 1.0.5 to 1.0.6 to 1.0.7 to 1.0.8 to 1.0.9 to 1.0.10 to 1.0.12 to 1.0.13 to 1.0.14 to 1.0.15)?

Then, I will at least have the security issues resolved and can upgrade to Revolution after I update my Chunk codes with the right calls (@ to @@), I think?

Or is there a more in depth article, post I should refer to?

    Thanks! -Doug

You could update to 1.0.15 straight away.
You just need to clean up the infected files.
There are posts on the forum where you can see the steps you need to take to clean it up.

Just make sure you have a backup for safety.

To go from Evo to Revo I have no idea.
Evolution user, I like the back-end speed and simplicity smiley
