Any issue with having two MODx installs on the same database?

My host and my website are both on the same database. Is there an issue doing that performance-wise, out of curiosity?

EDIT: I mean that I’m using modx_, while the host is using fxn_ (shorthand for their site’s name).

As long as the database can handle the load there shouldn’t be a problem. It all depends on the server, and on how active the two sites are.

If my host’s site is bigger than mine (like 2000/3000 hits daily), would it be wise to move separate them?

2000-3000 page views is not much traffic really, so there should be no issues there.
