    I really don’t know javascript but isn’t that what this is suppose to do:
    $back=$('<li class="back"><div class="left"></div></li>').appendTo(b),$li=$("li",this),curr=$("li.current",this)[0]||$($li[0]).addClass("current")

    In the markup above, “ul” represents the menu, and each “li” represents a menu-item. At this point it is crucial to understand that we will be adding another artificial “li” to represent the background of the currently highlighted menu-item. Since the background itself is cosmetic and doesn’t represent a menu-item, we will be adding it from javascript. Just to make sure we are in sync, “you need not add this li”, the LavaLamp plugin will take care of it. Once added, the “li” representing the background will look like this.
    <li class="back"><div class="left"></div></li>

      Are you using Revolution(0.9.7)? I see in your template that you have the Revolution tag syntax. You might have better help if you move this to the Revolution specific forum or rename the title to include a reference to Revolution since there may specific javascript issues.

        Something is happening here, but you don&#39;t know what it is.

        Sorry, I have tried in both. The template I pasted happened to be from revolution. I might have found my solution though. I will report back when I can test it.

        Thanks for all the feedback.

        But you said it would only not work inside MODx. My demo pages were local, and not even those were working correctly. Hence, I don’t believe it’s a MODx issue at all. The menu system has no way of remembering what you clicked on after you get to the new page.
        You are correct it isn’t related to modx. I am just a javascript newbie.

        Again thanks for the feedback and help.
