Give it a try
I did and it just shows the snippet name. Is this your way of telling me that "No, it is not possible"?
When I use [[snippetname]] in the title it does not work. It shows [[snippetname]].
That is why I am wondering if there is another way of doing it.
I have a snippet that shows a users name, so I would like to be able to use this for when pages are created for the user. For labeling purposes.
Use TV, make snippet call in this TV and use this TV as label (if you need this label on frontend, not in backend document tree).

Ok, it won’t show the snippet’s output in the document tree, but it does work for the front-end. When the Manager loads the document tree, it doesn’t look for snippets or TVs (or anything else, for that matter), it simply uses what it finds in the "pagetitle" field in the database. But if the [*pagetitle*] tag in the document or in a template has a snippet or a TV, it gets processed when the document is parsed for output.
